WHAT IT IS AND HOW IT WORKS

DS Group's Tabula Clinica®

Tabula Clinica® is endowed with a very intuitive and user friendly graphic interface and is based on a software architecture that is easily and completely tailored to each hospital ward or department's individual needs and integrated with existing hospital information systems.

 

Tabula Clinica® the first paperless and Mobile Medical Record, manages all in-patient phases from the moment a patient enters the hospital until the patient is discharged and even post discharge, completing the process with digital and legal archiving of the patient record; in Tabula Clinica® is possible to attach multimedia items such as photos, videos and voice files realizing the new  paradigm of Multimedia Medical Record.

Tabula Clinica®: the framework

Tabula Clinica® is more than a mobile medical record product, it's a solution framework designed for allowing System Integrators/Independent Software Vendors, and Hospital ITC divisions, to maintain, customize and develop the patient record with the goal of satisfying any specific need of each hospital
ward or department, with the safety of compatibility with future versions of the product.

Tabula Clinica® Framework provides a complete ability of customization of the patient record based on 4 levels:

1) Data level
A patented component that allows modifications to the data structures making them different
for each ward or department but always maintaining a single hospital clinical information repository.
2) Application and user interface level
Maximum flexibility in customizing the user interface taking advantage of patient record templates, functions modules and building blocks to be built with market leading development environments.
3) Workflow level
Graphic environment for designing and developing different clinical processes such as the pharmacotherapy workflow or complex clinical protocols with independence from the application logic.
4) Integration level
An enterprise application integration environment dedicated to implementing communication channels between Tabula Clinica® and the hospital information system through different standard protocols: HL7, web services, XML.

 

Tabula Clinica®: multiplatform


TABLET PCs light and portable devices with large screens, that allow the use of a stylus and natural writing system with integrated WiFi connectivity and MOBILE CLINICAL ASSISTANT®, disinfectable shock resistant Tablet PC with integrated digital camera, RFId and Barcode readers, together with the intuitive graphic interface of Tabula Clinica®, explicitly designed for mobile penbased and touchscreen devices, are the ideal tools for clinicians to use at patient's bed. 

 

 

The POCKET PC, a small and light mobile device, becomes a perfect tool to establish fast carrying out procedures such as pharmacological administration or clinical activities at patient's bed, thanks to Tabula Clinica® graphic interface, which has been developed for pen use and for minimizing keyboard use.

Furthermore, through Voice over IP technology, the Pocket PC is also able to substitute telephone and beeper and when integrated with Tabula Clinica® provides the clinicians with 3 tools in one!
